Some Pictures of Our Kids
Here are a few random pictures of the kids from this month.
Taylan will often sit in the walker while we eat. This particular day we were eating lunch when he got very tired and before we knew it, he was sound asleep.
This is a picture that we took after church. The kids were both tired and a little fussy, so we were sitting in the rocking chair while we waited for daddy to come home from home teaching. This is how he found us when he got home.
This is a funny picture that I managed to get of Elora in her sunglasses. She was running toward me at the time, so it turned out even funnier.
The perfect Taylan pouty face. For some reason he didn't like it when I would threaten to tickle him and he would give me this pouty face. It was pretty cute.
This isn't the best picture, but you can see in it how Elora can get him to smile. She is always talking to him and trying to get him to smile. It is very fun to watch as a parent.
I was pushing Taylan around in his walker with my foot while we ate lunch one day and Elora decided that she wanted a ride as well. I got this picture to show what she was doing.
This is the picture I got of them after with Elora standing on the back of the walker.
This is Taylan's new way of sitting in his swing. He likes to dangle his right leg out of the swing and tends to stop the swing from swinging.

The Fourth of July
On the 4th of July we went to the Rexburg Parade in the morning. It was a lot of fun! Elora decided that she was in love with the Broulim's Bear and tried to follow her around everywhere she went! The first time she saw her, she ran up to her and gave her a hug, which almost tripped her. There were several times that they danced together on the sidewalk. We were lucky that the bear was very good natured.
Afterwards we went to Mom and Dad's for a 4th of July barbeque. All of the food was delicious as always. Kevin had set up our pool in the backyard and several of them went out to play later. We even ended up with the neighbor's grandson joining in.
That night we went to the fireworks in Idaho Falls. Elora took a brief nap on the way there, which was very welcome. We had fun waiting around for things to start. Elora loved the glowsticks that Grandma brought and had fun making necklaces with them. She loved the fireworks as she did last year. Taylan wasn't so sure about the loud booms. He would squirm and stir in his sleep when ever they went off, which was quite a lot. It was very fun, though, and worth going to.
This is a little video of Elora dancing with the Broulim's Bear. It was very cute!
Taylan at 3 Months
I can't believe that Taylan is already 3 months! He is growing so much, so fast! He is such a cute little guy and so easy going. We love him so much and can't picture our family without him. What a fun and happy boy!
Pics of the kids and Swimming Fun
I'm sorry that I'm so terrible at keeping caught up with posting things. These pics are from the end of June. It goes to show that I'm usually about two weeks behind! :) Anyways, I thought they were cute and wanted to share them anyways.

Elora is a follower. Everything that Taylan does, she has to do as well. One day when I was folding laundry on the bed, I had laid Taylan down and put a blanket on him while I worked. Elora decided that she needed to lay down on the bed with a blanket as well. I thought it was kind of cute the two of them laying there together.

This is a picture of Elora with Jana and Vanessa swimming in our pool that we had set up in Grandma and Grandpa's backyard. They are so kind to allow us to use their yard since we don't have one. Elora went swimming every day that week and loved it!

Elora and Grandma fell asleep in the chair after Elora had finished swimming. Grandma had been trying to read a book to Elora, but kept pausing when her eyes would close. It was amusing to listen to because her voice would turn into a mumble and then fade all together. Elora didn't seem to mind since she was just as tired.
Well, this is finally the end of the pics from June. I now have to post those from July. :) I'm working on it.
We have started putting Taylan in the walker just so that he can be sitting up and see what is going on. This just happened to be a cute smile he gave me one morning during breakfast.

FHE Nature Walk - God's Creations
For Family Home Evening, we took an idea from the Friend to go on a Nature Walk and look at all of God's creations paying attention to things like rocks, bugs, tree bark, flowers, leaves, etc. We went to the Nature Park down the street, of course, and it turned out to be a lot of fun. Afterwards, we went home and drew pictures of the things we saw. Here are a few of the highlights of our walk.
The family all walking together.
A duck swimming on the water.
Looking at the "flowers".
Going for a ride!
Feeling the tree bark.
Feeling a rock.
Mommy, Elora and Aunt Jana.
The feel of a duck's feather.
Mommy and Elora. Elora saw some people nearby that were sitting in the grass, so she decided that she wanted to do it too. She really wanted to just join them, but we managed to talk her out of it.
The canal on the edge of the park.
Pics of the kids and the Splash Park
These are some fun pics I took of Elora with Taylan. She wanted to hold him and was making him smile.

Daddy with the kids.

We took Elora to play at the Splash Park. She didn't really like it as you can see above in the picture on the left. She is the one standing to the right in the pink hat. She didn't even want to get wet, so we took her to the dry playground where she met some new friends.
