Elora's New Glasses!!!!!

Elora got new glasses today! We are so excited that she will be able to see better. We just hope that she will want to keep them on and that she will take care of them. Here are some pics of her that I managed to take. She doesn't always want to cooperate when it comes to taking pictues.

I had to throw this picture in because I think it is so cute! Of all the people we know, Elora is the one that can make Taylan smile and laugh the most! They are quite the funny pair. We get quite the kick out of them and their laughter.

Visit with Uncle Caleb and Aunt Melissa

During the Afternoon Session of Conference on Sunday, we had the opportunity to go and visit with Zach's brother Caleb, his wife Melissa, and their son Lane. It was a lot of fun to see them and we had a great time visiting. The kids seemed to enjoy their time interacting as well. These pictures are all thanks to Aunt Melissa. They are in no particular order.
We were trying to get a picture of Taytay's new teeth, but he didn't want to cooperate.
I love how the two little boys are tolerating Caleb's snuggles. I just love their expressions!
A picture of Uncle Caleb, Taytay and little Lane.
Talking to Grandma Swainston while driving little Lane's ballpit car.
We absolutely love her expression here!! I have no idea what she was saying, but it is such a funny picture! Her hair definitely adds to the effect as well.
A smile behind the binkie for the camera.
Taking a nap in cousin Lane's crib.
Playing with little Lane.
Pictures of Taytay for Grandma Swainston.
The excitement for popcicles!
Two suckers! Yummy!
Thanks again, Uncle Caleb and Aunt Melissa! We really enjoyed our visit!

New Family Pics!

This is the best of the pictures that we were able to get. Elora didn't want to smile. We did get a picture of just Zach and I, but that one is also not scanned in and I think that these two are the more important ones.
This is the best of the pictures that were taken of the two kids. I think it is funny that Elora is looking one direction and Taylan is looking the other. We did get one more picture of the kids where Taylan is smiling so big and cute, but I don't have it scanned in, yet. It is also only a wallet size.

September Pics.

I feel dumb that it is the middle of October and I am finally posting our pictures from September. Life has been pretty busy with me teaching full-time, but we are managing to still enjoy life. We had potato harvest the past two weeks and I still didn't manage to get any posts put on until now. Oh well.

Elora was eating salad for dinner and decided to help herself to what was left in the bottom of the bag when we weren't looking. I love how she lined it up on the table.
Taylan's first football game. We went to watch the homecoming game because Uncle Kent was named the Senior Attendant. Way to go Uncle Kent! Taylan fell asleep toward the end of the game.
Elora sitting on Grandma's lap at the game. It can be quite difficult to entertain a 2 yr old at a football game. It took Grandma, Aunt Jana, Myself, some of Jana's friends, and some of the people sitting around us.
I put Taylan on the couch to get a picture of him and Elora decided to join him as well. I love how she likes to lay down next to him for pictures like this. I just wish that I could get more of them smiling.
I liked how they are holding hands in this one.
Taylan at Uncle Brian's when we went down to Utah for cousin Talia's first birthday party.
Elora and Rivka enjoying the swings outside. Elora managed to snag Aunt Heather into pushing her in the swing for probably at least a good half hour. She loves swings.
Cute Grandma and Grandpa!!!! We love them!
The girls in their princess crowns and jewlry. We thought it would be fun to buy these for Elora, Rivka and Talia to play with. Talia was still not very into it, but Elora and Rivka seemed to really enjoy playing with them.
Aunt Robyn made these tu-tu's for her girls. Elora and Rivka enjoyed dancing around in them for awhile.
More pictures of the girls in their crowns and tu-tus.
One more. I like this one.
One night Elora walked into the living room and said, "Come here, Taylan. Come sit on my lap." So Zach held him on her lap while she read him a story. It was very cute. I just had to get pictures.
We went out to Aunt Heather's house during potato harvest to help her process her corn and get it ready to freeze. Elora helped a little. She had more fun playing in the yard and with Aunt Heather's toys. I taught her how to lay on the swing on her belly and she spent a lot of time twisting herself up and swinging back and forth. I didn't think to get pictures until later. I wish I had gotten them.
Helping to "find" the corn. She did pretty good. She would take each layer off one at a time.
Helping Aunt Heather husk corn.
