Both Elora and Taylan are growing up so much, so fast! We love seeing all of the things they are learning to do. This morning Elora came downstairs, found Taylan's helium balloon that is dying and said, "It has bruises!" She also told Zach about a week ago that her Barbie princess movies weren't his, "because you're not a princess!" Elora has decided that she loves any Barbie movie and watches the few we have almost endlessly. I figured out that she only likes the movies where the main female character is dressed pretty like a princess from the beginning. When I tried to show her Anastasia, she wasn't interested because Anya didn't look like a princess from the start. She also loves to wear "princess dresses" and dance like a princess all the time, now.
Taylan climbed our stairs tonight, by himself, for the first time (I followed along close behind in case he fell or slipped). He seems to know how to go down as well, but we will have to watch him very, VERY closely for the next while until he masters going up and down. He also loves to climb up on the mini trampoline and play. He loves music and danced during the opening hymn in Relief Society today. I usually have to have someone hold him while I'm leading because he loves to go up and play the piano along with the pianist.
Just a little news about us as well, I sang in our Ward Talent Show this past Tuesday and was asked to sing this next Tuesday in the Stake Talent Show as well. They also seem to think that I need to sing in church and at the old folks home as well now that I have done it once. I don't mind as long as I can figure out a song to sing, have an accompanist, and have enough time to practice. We will see how it goes. Jana was my accompanist, and I don't think she minded too much because she met a cute boy in the process. (He will also be performing Tuesday at the Stake Talent Show.)
Zach just registered for the Spring Semester of classes that begins the end of April. He just finished mid-terms for this semester and is working hard to keep up in his studies as well as work in the evenings. He is close to being able to apply for the Social Work program next semester.
Well, that is all about us for now. We are excited for Cari to come home at the end of the month! We hope all goes well for her in her travels and in finishing up her mission.
